Kiki Siregar is a Senior Correspondent for CNA’s Indonesia Digital Bureau, based in Jakarta. She covers politics, foreign policy, the environment and the economy.
Her career highlights with CNA include interviews with President Joko Widodo, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.
Prior to joining CNA, Kiki was the Indonesia and East Timor correspondent for Agence France-Presse. She covered the 2018 earthquake in Lombok, the Sunda Strait tsunami and the Asian Games.
She started her career as a broadcast journalist with Trans TV in 2005. Kiki covered the 2008 US election and interviewed then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2009.
She entered digital journalism in 2011 when she managed MSN Indonesia and subsequently became the web editor of Strategic Review, a journal focusing on world affairs and policies.
Kiki then moved to BBC Indonesia and produced a variety of stories including the 2014 AirAsia air crash and 2016 Jakarta terror attack.
Kiki holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Indonesia. She also holds another Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Queensland in Australia.
